Winter is the season of Yin, offering us a time to be introspective as we prepare for the burst of energy and life that occurs in the spring. Winter teaches us to rest, reflect, conserve and store. By living harmoniously with the winter season, we can help nourish our bodies and mind. The teachings of Chinese Medicine, Breathwork and Yoga offer you tools to travel inward and connect to yourself on an energetic level.
During this exploratory workshop you will first learn an ancient Daoist meditation that will help you create a space for you to dive deeper into your healing practices. Next, you will be taught a moxibustion technique and protocol to strengthen the Kidney channel. Moxibustion is a form of heat therapy utilized in Chinese medicine that uses the dried plant called "moxa”. Participants will receive a moxa tool so that they can continue this practice at home.
To gain more knowledge, students will also learn powerful breathing techniques to strengthen and balance the Kidney meridian. In addition, students will then be guided in a Kidney specific yin yoga flow accompanied by restorative meditation.
